Day of Healing is a time for those participating to breathe and experience a gentle touch for the first time in a long time.

Most of these wonderful women, have not given themselves an opportunity for self care in years! One even stating that “the last time I’ve done anything like this I was 16 years old.” She is now in her 40’s.

We want to give the most immense appreciation to those that made this possible yet again. Valerie Onsurez Gauna, Vance Onsurez, and Priscilla Carrasco! These are some of the busiest people you could meet, and yet they still give up a Saturday to come to our shelter and provide these treatments to our clients. Thank you each, for being a healing touch of their journeys. ⭐️

And a HUGE thank you to United Way of Lea County for providing us the means to put on a day like this. We are so grateful to be supported by you guys!

Healing is not always loud or visible. Sometimes it is quiet moments of gentleness that remind someone they DESERVE peace. 🫂
